I love having a natural and organic textures around my house. It helps tie my whole design style together, thus I decided a DIY Boxwood Wreath was in order.
When I originally hung one of my old wood windows in our study, it just felt bare. I decided to liven up the window with a wreath. I love boxwood wreaths, but to get one that is a decent size, they are so pricey! And why is that??? I couldn’t figure it out, and the Mr. most likely wouldn’t be happy with me spending $50 on a wreath. So I decided to make one of my own. Here’s my materials list:
- Wreath form-I used a 16” grapevine wreath (from hobby lobby, normally $3.99, I used the 40% coupon which brought it to around $2.40)
- 6’ Boxwood garland (also available at Hobby Lobby, normally costs $19.99, I got mine 50% off for $10)
- Green floral wire- I had some on hand (but you can find it at the dollar store, or right here)
I then attached a piece of the garland to the sticks on the vine wreath. I liked the look of some of the garland loosely hanging, so I didn’t attach every piece for that reason, but if you don’t like the whimsical look and want something more uniform, attach more pieces of the garland.
